The third day of the International Forum “Primakov Readings”

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin addressed the International Forum “Primakov Readings”, which was devoted to studying E.M. Primakov’s academic and political heritage.
The President shared his recollections of Evgeny Maximovich and also expressed his hope for the further development of the ideas of this outstanding politician and scholar.

The Chairperson of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko also shared her recollections of Evgeny Maximovich Primakov.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov recalled Evgeny Maximovich Primakov’s diplomatic activities.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Yury Ushakov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Lamberto Dini, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Fortov, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and the General Secretary of the League of Arab States Amr Musa, former President of North Ossetia Alexander Dzasohov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin also made their reports on the forum.

Director of the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations Academician Alexander Dynkin completed the session. He also reminded that Evgeny Maximovich Primakov was and will be forever first of all a scientist. “Primakov was the first who saw the polycentric world and emphasized it.”

On behalf of the IMEMO Alexander Dynkin expressed his gratitude to the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the World Trade Center and a number of companies for this forum organizing, as the first part of the “Primakov Readings” had been held with their support.
